Draft environmental document – Completed 2003.
Final environmental document – Final approvals completed July 2006.
Right of way acquisition – Easements and right of way required for both environmental mitigation and actual roadway were completed in 2009.
Phase 1
Phase 1 of the Lincoln Bypass provides 4 lanes (2 in each direction) from Industrial Avenue to Nelson Lane, and 2 lanes (1 in each direction) from Nelson Lane to Sheridan.
Design – Final design for Phase 1 was completed in 2008.
Construction – Construction contract awarded June 2008 for Phase 1 and project construction began September 2008. Phase 1 is scheduled for completion in late Summer of 2012.
Phase 2a
Phase 2a of the Lincoln Bypass adds 2 lanes from Nelson Lane to West Wise Road, providing a full 4 lanes in each direction.
Design – Final design for Phase 2a was completed in October 2011.
Construction – Construction contract is set for award in late Spring 2012, with project construction set to begin in late Summer of 2012.
Phase 2b
Phase 2b of the Lincoln Bypass adds 2 lanes from Nelson Lane to West Wise Road, providing a full 4 lanes in each direction.
Design – Final design for Phase 2b is scheduled for late 2012.
Construction – Phase 2b construction is currently unfunded, so schedule will depend on the timing and availability of future funds.
